Jazz Questions
Is jazz the same as hip hop?
No. Jazz is rooted in classical technique with turns, leaps and lines, while hip hop focuses on grooves, isolations and street styles. Many dancers take both.
Should my dancer take ballet too?
We recommend it. Ballet technique makes jazz turns and leaps cleaner and safer, and most of our jazz dancers take both.
What music do you use?
Age-appropriate current and classic tracks, always screened for lyrics before they reach the studio.
