Lyrical is where technique meets emotion. Blending ballet and jazz with storytelling, dancers learn to connect movement to music and to communicate meaning from the stage.

Levels We Offer
Lyrical
Ages 8+ with prior ballet or jazz experience recommended.
Advanced Lyrical
By instructor placement; strong technical foundation required.
Lyrical Dress Code
Proper dance attire helps our teachers see alignment and keeps every dancer safe.

- Black leotard & shorts/pants
- Tan tights

Lyrical Questions
Is prior experience required?
Some ballet or jazz background helps, but motivated beginners at the right age are welcome — talk to us about placement.
How is lyrical different from contemporary?
Lyrical stays closer to ballet and jazz technique and follows the lyrics of a song. Contemporary is looser, more experimental and floor-based.
What are turner shoes?
Small tan half-soles that cover the ball of the foot, allowing clean turns while keeping the heel bare. The Dancing Shoe can fit them for you.
