Pointe
By instructor approval
Pointe is the moment every ballet dancer works toward, and we take it seriously. Dancers are approved individually after building the ankle strength, core control and technical consistency that make rising onto pointe safe.
What Dancers Learn
- Pre-pointe conditioning for feet, ankles and core
- Correct rising, rolling through and releve technique
- Care, fitting and breaking in of pointe shoes
- Classical variations once strength is established
Levels We Offer
Pre-Pointe
Conditioning alongside intermediate ballet; no pointe shoes yet.
Pointe
By instructor approval only, with concurrent advanced ballet enrollment.
Pointe Dress Code
Proper dance attire helps our teachers see alignment and keeps every dancer safe.
Pointe
- Black leotard & skirt/shorts
- Pink tights
- Pink ballet & pointe shoes
Pointe Questions
How do I know when my dancer is ready for pointe?
Your instructor will tell you. Readiness depends on strength, alignment and consistent ballet attendance — not age. We would rather wait a semester than risk an injury.
Where do we buy pointe shoes?
Pointe shoes must be professionally fitted. We recommend The Dancing Shoe and will tell you which style your dancer's instructor prefers before you go.
Does pointe require another ballet class?
Yes. Pointe students stay enrolled in advanced ballet so their technique keeps developing alongside their pointe work.
